Cel przedmiotu:
The lecture aim is to make student familiar with principles of operation, usage and administration of contemporary computer networks.
Treści kształcenia:
It discuss the 7 layered OSI ISO model, and TCP/IP network model. Students can learn the most important protocols belonging to TCP/IP family, as well as BSD socket interface. The lecture presents in details Ethernet, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, DNS, WLAN networking technologies. Students can learn network configuration of hosts, switches/bridges and routers. They can learn also principles of operation of virtual local networks and virtual private networks.
Metody oceny:
There are two tests during the semester worh 20 points each. Labs are worth 6, 9 15, 15, 15 points. As a result student can get up to 100 points. Final grade results from the score: 91..100 - A, 81..90 - B+, 71..80 - B, 61..70 - C+, 51..60 - C, 21..50 - D, 0..20 - E.
